Southern California Quantum Computing Meetup 2/24/20

Inaugural Meeting in Orange County

Two SoCal experts will be discussing the industry's latest developments:

Cristin Escoda is president and Chief Operating Officer of quantum startup ORCA Computing, a company building a scalable and flexible quantum computer powered by photonics. Based in Venice, Calif., Cristin was previously involved in funding deep-tech startups. London-based ORCA is establishing a presence in the L.A. area to take advantage of the growing quantum computing ecosystem in Southern California.

Joe Hellmers of Dassault Systèmes will speak on the multiple hardware methodologies that are being developed for quantum computing, including superconducting circuit, ion trap, spin quantum dot, linear optic, and nitrogen vacancy diamond and topological approaches. Based in San Diego, Dassault helps businesses create 3D virtual worlds for sustainable innovations.

The Meetups are run by Doug who is publisher of the Quantum Computing Report, a popular resource site for business, government and academia. Doug is considered a global authority on the industry.

The Meetup is free and open to the public.
