Catalyst — Grant Award for Social Entrepreneurs
Accelerating Wireless Innovation for Health and Well-Being
Catalyst is a competitive grants program for social entrepreneurs using wireless to solve pressing health and well-being issues. Catalyst identifies and funds early stage change-makers that take advantage of the speed, efficiency and versatility of wireless to improve the health and well-being of Americans.
Wireless technology is at the heart of our modern lives, powering our economy and defining how we connect to one another. From the doctors providing remote care to homebound and rural patients to everyday individuals tracking their health and fitness through wearables, wireless reveals new opportunities to change the way we work, communicate and live.
Catalyst seeks to attract and fund solutions that produce healthier outcomes for individuals and communities in one or more of the following ways:
- Scaling up, advancing or innovating promising health innovations, especially those that address health inequalities related to race, gender, socioeconomic status and location.
- Reducing physical and financial barriers to accessing quality healthcare, either in person or virtually.
- Providing mental health services or supports, and leveling the playing field of access to these services for Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) communities and individuals, women and veterans.
CTIA Wireless Foundation is committed to the principles of diversity and inclusion in supporting social enterprises. Organizations whose leadership primarily comprises BIPOC, women and/or veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
