Anaheim's Goshsha Launches as New Augmented Reality Platform

Goshsha, The New Kid On The Block That Brings Augmented Reality Mainstream

A mobile platform that puts the power of augmented reality in the hands of everyone  Goshsha

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Anaheim, California): “I think people are looking for targeted content fast and a way to get more, see more and connect deeper easier. Augmented Reality is one of these mediums that you’re going to see take off over the next few years because of a fundamental shift in the enabling technology such as 5G and neural engine chips. Faster connection, plus increasing on-device processing power will just need to keep up.”

If you need a summary of why the CEO and Developer of Goshsha, Athena Yap built this Augmented Reality (AR) engine, that’s it.

Her vision with Goshsha is to enrich lives through augmented reality that adds another level to experiencing information, products, memories, and messages.

She continues, “The power of augmented reality needs to be in the hands of everyone, not just with big corporations. If you can access targeted information, messages and memories instantly with just a scan, the world just seems closer and less clunky.”

Pronounced as “Gosh” - “sha”, like gotcha, Goshsha is more than an application. It’s a movement to an augmented reality platform that brings your memories, precious moments, business promotions, educational, instructional knowledge and personal messages to life instantly from your mobile device, putting the power of augmented reality creation in the hands of everyone anywhere with ease, creating a universal AR Cloud together. The problem of persistence is solved, whereby augmented reality created by one user on one device is now available to other users on another device. Instant information access with no search is just a scan away.

Goshsha takes augmented reality mainstream with its easy to use mobile platform.

On-device, at location, instant AR experience creation that anyone and companies can create instead of through developers or other companies. No app developers or special Application Programming Interface (API) or Software Development Kit (SDK) needed. This means saving months of development time, and money in paying for a developer or licensing SDKs. No coding knowledge required. It allows users and companies to load their own target products and the corresponding augmented reality models, pictures or videos right there on their mobile devices.

It is also a universal AR scanner, meaning businesses do not need to convince customers to load their company specific apps to view their products. This one Goshsha app is the only one needed universally for all companies, individuals, organizations, users.

Several obvious use cases of Goshsha are for business promotions such as discount scavenger hunt like Pokemon Go, business marketing, customers service materials, magazine advertisement, restaurant menus, family photos with live memorable videos, greeting cards with special pop-up messages, instructional videos for recipes and parts operation manuals, education materials and many more.

In June of 2020, Athena Yap, also the owner of a small dog bakeries chain called Jackboy’s Dog Bakery in Southern California wanted to run a marketing campaign with augmented reality to promote their dog treats and doggie cakes. Upon searching for various options out there, she was unable to find any that offers a solution that is hassle free, fast, flexible, easy to use and has no uncontrolled costs components such as per user scan costs. So she decided to develop her own solution for small businesses like hers. Hence Goshsha was born. As an Aerospace and Machine Learning Engineer, Athena started coding and developing her own augmented reality application with the vision to bring augmented reality mainstream while putting the power in the hands of small businesses globally with zero to minimal costs. Working part time on the iOS app while running her dog bakeries and other engineering projects, Goshsha was launched in July 2021.

You can find Goshsha in the App Store. It’s a free download.
