CSUF Annual Startup Competition Results

Cal State University, Fullerton's annual Startup Competition recently announced this year's winners.

The finale of the competition featured each of the six finalists giving an eight minute presentation about their ventures. 

These presentations covered five key aspects of each new company, including: Problem, Solution, Customers, Business Model, and the Resources needed to launch their businesses.

These presentations were followed by questions from the 4 judge panel.

Congratulations to First Place Winner: 10-8 Systems CSUF-Startup-Competition-10-8-Systems

Founded by Bryan Ruef, 10-8 Systems aims to brings to smaller cities the technology that big municipalities use to dispatch police, fire, and other first responders.

This technology, called Computer Aided Dispatch, is financially out of reach for many smaller communities.  Bryan's new venture has come up with a solution that will enable smaller municipalities to respond to emergencies much more quickly.

The other winners of the startup pitch competition included:

  • Fourth Place: Runball
  • Fifth Place: Ayli
  • Sixth Place: Safe Space
