Garden Grove Hosted VC Fast Pitch Competition (pics)
20+ startup companies presented to dozens of angel and venture capital investors last week at the VC Fast Pitch.
Held at Coastline Community College in Garden Grove, the sold out crowd was bustling with Orange County startup founders, investors, and friends.
The morning featured 5 minute pitches from startups, moderated by Black Dog Venture Partners CEO, Scott Kelly. They were then quizzed by the investor panel about their products, progress, and growth projections.
The Mayor of Garden Grove, Steve Jones, welcomed everyone to the neighborhood. It was exciting to hear about Garden Grove's interest in attracting more high tech startup companies.
Lunch was served in the exhibits hall. Attendees got to mingle and munch while also learning more about the startups and exhibitors on display.
Presentations with useful info for entrepreneurs were given by event sponsors Benjamin Frank of Sunwest Bank and Melissa Diaz of High Rock Accounting.
One minute pitches followed, with a diverse group of entrepreneurs taking questions from the investor panel as a group.
Lots of connections were made and hopefully the investment dollars will soon follow.
Thanks to Black Dog Venture Partners for organizing the event and to Coastline Community College and the City of Garden Grove for their hospitality!
