Global Telecom is looking for a security programming and cloud management Software Engineer to join its team - full time or as an intern.

The role of this individual is to deliver and maintain overall roadmap and create the design for IoT modules and related activities in order to deliver, upgrade and maintain state of the art next-generation technology to support Global Telecoms’ rapid growth and innovation.

The candidate will be a highly experienced module design primary lead, that holds a track record in the industry, designing full aspects of modules from inception to production, while keeping a keen eye on competitive space and planning next-generation product. This key position will be an anchor in the development and production of all new modules targeting IOT and 5G.

Responsibilities

Help realize and define company long-term IoT vision and growth. Lead and mentor IOT module design engineers. Possess a deep technical knowledge of module design and development. Work closely with customers to create elegant, usable, reliable and testable solutions to difficult demands, and solve problems for customers. Look for practical ways to innovate in the IoT/embedded computing space. Drive knowledge base internally and identify new IoT business cases. Take pride in your work. Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills; experience working in a complex environment. Work constructively with others in a diverse development community Write clear, readable code in multiple programming languages (List what ones…: Ex: C/C++, Python, Java). As a technical leader, you will oversee the work of the module design engineers. Review and constructively comment on the performance of your team, and daily status reporting on deliverables and goals. Participate in online community forums, answering questions, and proposing solutions. While your primary role is technical lead, you are also comfortable managing projects as needed.

Required Education

The minimum in Bachelor of science ins computer science or engineering. Preferred: Master of Science in computer science or engineering.

Experience & Competencies

Possesses technical leadership experience Expert in one or more technical fields (e.g. IOT applications, Linux drivers, security, network, etc.) Experience with embedded Linux and/or MYSQL Basic scripting Experience in object-oriented programming using C IP networking VLAN knowledge Can prioritize and schedule tasks based on dependencies and risks Has spearheaded major new initiatives and seen them through to completion Has a strong working knowledge of risk mitigation Has strong troubleshooting skills Happy to engage in inter-office and customer meetings and business trips Wireless communication such as Qualcomm. is a plus Desired Education, Experience & Competencies (Can we combine the above list and this list?)
