The Catalyst Fund Invests in SoCal Venture Pipeline Startups

The Catalyst Fund is an early-stage venture fund led by the Alliance for SoCal Innovation and co-managed by Pasadena Private Financial Group.

It invests exclusively in startups accepted into the SoCal Venture Pipeline (SVP) — a free program that connects venture-ready founders to a nationwide network of 350+ active VC firms through warm, curated introductions.

To be eligible for Catalyst Fund investment, startups must secure a priced term sheet from a lead institutional investor contributing at least 20% of a $1M+ round.

The Catalyst Fund then has the right to co-invest — typically up to 10% of the round, capped at $500K—on the same terms as the lead.
