What are the specialties of your firm?
Armanino LLP is an accounting and consulting firm. We provide key areas of service – assurance/audit, tax, consulting, risk and advisory and business management. Our technology focus and global services are key aspects of our service lines. We work with clients in a large range of industries including technology, manufacturing and distribution, consumer business, nonprofit, private schools, real estate, professional services, life sciences, insurance and healthcare.
Who are the clients you can help the most?
Technology and life sciences companies in all stages.
What's the most common problem you help startup founders with?
Many startups struggle to form their company based on their current and future plans. I help startup founders understand how best to structure their organization to plan for success. I also assist management on accounting issues – primarily GAAP and tax – so they can focus on their expertise – product development.
Can you share a little history of your firm?
Armanino LLP is an independent accounting and business consulting firm, ranked as one of the "Best of the Best" accounting firms and a Best Places to Work, both nationally and regionally. The firm was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in San Ramon, California. Since its inception 53 years ago, Armanino has become the 21st largest firm nationwide, serving over 7,000 clients in over 100 countries.
How big is your firm locally and nationally?
Armanino has approximately 160 employees located at the headquarters in San Ramon, California. Nationwide, we have over 2,000 valued employees.
Why do you enjoy working with startups?
The innovation, passion, and entrepreneurial spirit that so many startups have makes them fun to work with. Watching and being part of a company’s journey from start-up to product development to commercialization and exit is an exciting process.
Why have you chosen to work in Orange County?
I was born and raised in Orange County and have spent my professional career and personal life in OC.
Favorite OC restaurant?
Nick’s Deli breakfast burritos in Seal Beach or Harbor House in Sunset Beach for breakfast. Otherwise, OC has so many great restaurants.
Favorite place in OC?
Seal Beach Pier (or in the water in Seal) and Main Street. It’s my hometown and still has a small-town vibe.
Why did your company join the OC Startup Council?
The entrepreneurial spirit is a core value for Armanino and the industries represented by the Startup Council are a perfect match.
