Stradling Law Firm Recognized for Securities Litigation, M&A, and Venture Capital Practices
Newport Beach's Stradling’s Securities Litigation, M&A, and Venture Capital practice groups were ranked in the newly released 2019 edition of The Legal 500 United States.
Congratulations to the OC-based Stradling Venture Capital team (a Sponsor of the OC Startup Council) for receiving high marks for being “business-oriented, direct, efficient, and commercially minded.”
Recent deal highlights included Mark Skaist advising Acacia Research Corporation on a $10m investment in Miso Robotics’ Series B financing, and San Diego's Amit Singh acting for Ansun Biopharma in its $85 million Series A financing round led by Sinopharm Healthcare Fund and Lilly Asia Ventures. Singh also advised dock.io, a decentralized data exchange protocol, on its token sale, which raised $20m.
The Securities Litigation practice was described as “outstanding - a smaller firm that always provides timely, practical advice.” The group also received high marks for having 'tons of experience in high-profile matters, which it can do with a smaller team of high-quality lawyers .”
The group’s lawyers are further described as “personable and hands-on partners who match up well with lawyers from bigger firms.” Clients praised John Cannon, the Securities Litigation practice chair, for being “creative and solutions-driven, with exemplary technical aptitude.”
Stradling shareholders John Cannon, Kathleen Marcus, Jason de Bretteville, Mark Skaist, Ryan Azlein, and Amit Singh were individually commended for their work.
