Girls Inc of OC Needs Women Mentors
Is time getting in the way of being a valued mentor?
Girls Inc. is offering a MINIMUM TIME / MAXIMUM IMPACT mentorship program
They are looking for 30 more professional women like you for mentorship roles in their pilot year for their Project Accelerate Program. You will have the privilege of guiding young women through their college and career journeys, to establish a web of connectivity, positioning them for professional leadership roles.
Who will you mentor?
Girls Inc. has 21 college students, or recent high school graduates, embarking on their first professional intern and/or career experience — these are your future workforce. Most have been engaged in Girls Inc. programs for years and are highly motivated to learn from you. They have already completed courses in professional development and career exploration through Girls Inc. programs.
What is your time commitment?
Girls Inc. has invited professional women to mentor their girls for decades. Over time they have learned what works and what doesn’t work, and they know that setting reasonable expectations for time commitments is critical to the success of their program. You will be relieved to know that your mentorship commitment this year for Project Accelerate is on average, less than two hours per month.
What can you expect?
Activities will be both in-person and virtual; and a mixture of groups with some one-on-one, such as:
- Career panels
- Breakfast and lunch events
- Informational Interviews
- Office tours
- Networking mixers and events
"A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself. A mentor is someone who allows you to see the higher part of yourself when sometimes it becomes hidden to your own view.” – Oprah Winfrey, Talk Show Host, Producer, Author, and Philanthropist
DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 2, 2022
Girls Inc. can only accept 30 more mentors
Consider inviting members of your team to join you in this special experience
